Hello fellow Culinarians,

Just thought that I would drop a line and get you up to date with my latest exploits.

I will soon be starting production work on my new internet web page food show
(COOKING WITH CHEF PAUL ) and I am looking forward to getting back into the studio with my new producer Bob and the rest of the crew Anyrecipe.com. Is it a perfect world? No. But my Daddy always told me to keep my chin up and not to rock the boat if the pay checks keep clearing.

Anyway, I just got back from this year's Culinary Olympics and I must say, as
usual I was taken aback by the spectacle of the pageantry. But due to my late arrival and the limited budget my current employer has me on I was not really in
a position to see any of this years marquee events.

As I always do I found myself spending much of the first day at the wine tasting
tent enjoying all different wines and stuff. I have always felt that the whole atmosphere
would be much more relaxed if the sponsors would allow a full bar on the event
sight but this suggestion has never been well excepted by the stirring committee
and frankly they have never even allowed it to come up for a vote when I put the Idea up for consideration.

One thing I saw that kind of threw me was that this year's Czech team had a
dwarf Chef. Not that I have anything against dwarfs or anything it just kinda' creeped' me out.

The only real contests I could tickets to was the Competitive Dishwashing events. As usual the field was being lead by the Latin American teams. Namely the Mexicans and the El Salvadorians.

The American team was struggling but do have a outside chance of getting into the metal rounds. they've got this kid named Riley Doran out of Tulsa who really had some moves that I have not seen out of an Anglo kid since the early 80's He seems to have the right attitude and always is clean when he goes through drug testing. Which has always been the Achilles tendon for the American team. Due to my limited resources I was not able to stay to see the end of the event so as of this writing I can't give you any final results except to say.....USA...USA...USA ...USA...YOU ROCK.

Well my friends until next time this is Chef Paul saying happy eating to you and yours.
